1-Methylcyclopropene [= 1- MCP] is applied to harvested produce as a gas and binds where the ethylene would normally have attached. This means that ethylene action is effectively eliminated from biochemical pathways that eventually lead to quality loss. This project evaluates 1-MCP for its capacity to help maintain the quality of harvested. 1-MCP has been identified as a possible treatment for vegetables to assist in extending their shelf-life and to enable growers to provide a better product at point of sale. 1-MCP may alleviate the negative effects of poor temperature management.

Product Description: |
The active ingredient is synthesized by an independently developed process, with a purity of 99% and abover:; technically clarified without any harmful contains to human , to plant, and to enviroment.
The active ingredients are processed into a stable solution with a totally isolated diaphragm, then pressurized in the aluminum-made container, with a specially designed metering value to accurately control the effluent dosage. No concern on fire or storing safety due to the provision for propellant of nitrogen. With series of extensive test, the product has been confirmed for stability of the time span of 2 years, technically and practically.

At 20 °C , every second of spray covering a space of 4M 3 , it will bring a concentration of 500nl/L of 1-MCP , which is considered as the most preferred dosage for plants or postharvest fruits &vegetables.

Design of Evaporation Stages: |
The complex formulated solvents and adsorbents are designed to rekease the 1-MCP by three stages :Once the active ingredients pumped out for treatment, a significant amount (~80%) of 1-MCP was fulfilling the space quickly (~30 second ) ; the second stage of gas releasing (~15%) occurs (1-30min ) to replenish the losses due to adsorption by plants ; the third stage of gas releasing happens (30 mins-2 hours) to maintain the concentration at relatively stable level. |
